JOAN WILLIAMS

Problem

You decided to discuss the problem with your immediate line manager before taking any other action. They say:

“No, I don’t know Joan Williams, but I do know how far behind our department is on the KPI’s that the company has set. I’ve just had a meeting with the Directors and they’re changing the objectives relating to these, and putting in more stringent key results for each one – I absolutely DO NOT want to go through another meeting like that one, it was embarrassing. So please get back to your department and get your team working together, or we’ll need to keep arranging cover for Joan’s work, and that will really affect our costs, and impact on the new OKR’s”
